Steps to import goods from foreign countries
After completing the purchase from any European country, the following procedures should be followed:
Clearing agent delegation authorized by the Chamber of Commerce (authorization form).
Copy of the Commercial Register.
Customs declaration from the exporting country.
Copy of the goods invoice from the exporter merchant certified by the exporting country.
Certificate of origin for imported goods.
Translation of the invoice.
Steps to import goods from the Gulf countries
After completing the purchase from any Gulf country, the following procedures should be taken:
Clearing agent delegation authorized by the Chamber of Commerce (authorization form).
Copy of the Commercial Register.
Customs declaration from the exporting country.
Copy of the goods invoice from the exporting merchant and certified by the exporting country.
Certificate of origin for imported goods.
The time required to complete import procedures, customs clearance and receipt of goods
The time for completing customs clearance procedures and receiving goods from one port to another is different. Also, it is according to the type of goods imported.
Procedures for goods clearance imported through Riyadh Dry Port Authorization in Riyadh
Clearing agent delegation authorized by the Chamber of Commerce (authorization form).
Copy of the Commercial Register.
Original Bill of Loading.
Commercial invoice certified by the Chamber of Commerce from the country of origin.
Certificate of origin for imported goods and certified by the Chamber of Commerce of the country of origin.
Certificate of conformity of specifications.
Copy of payment method (transfer of money outside the Kingdom).
Any other documents relating to imported goods.
Notes
As for the foodstuffs that are required to be inspected by the Quality Assurance Laboratory, a pledge not to dispose of the goods is required to be printed on the establishment’s publications and certified by the Chamber of Commerce, until the result of the inspection of the goods is received from the laboratory.
For some electrical appliances and spare parts, they must bring a SASO Certificate.
Procedures for goods clearance imported through King Khalid Airport in Riyadh
Clearing agent delegation authorized by the Chamber of Commerce (authorization form).
Copy of the Commercial Register.
Original Bill of Loading.
Commercial invoice certified by the Chamber of Commerce from the country of origin.
Certificate of origin for imported goods and certified by the Chamber of Commerce of the country of origin.
